We are always looking for enthusiastic people to join our volunteer team and in doing so… you’ll get to share in the atmosphere and enthusiasm of the event without having to run! Volunteers will experience the magnificent landscape the event passes through and be involved in a rewarding and highly memorable activity for free!

WHO ARE OUR VOLUNTEERS?

They are people from all backgrounds who enjoy being part of great sporting events. Many of our volunteers are friends or family members of competitors and want to get involved and share the race-day experience, or they might belong to a local sporting club or community group.

HOW LONG DO I NEED TO HELP FOR?

We will very gratefully accept any assistance that is offered – be it for 30 minutes on race morning through to a couple of hours. We are very happy to work around your availability.

WHAT TYPES OF ROLES ARE THERE?

Volunteer roles vary and we are very happy to match you up to the type of role that you want to do. Roles vary between setting up infrastructure, helping with registration, manning water points, marshalling on the course, helping run a checkpoint or being based at the start / finish line helping ensure that runners are ok. We will allocate your role according to your experience, interest area and availability.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN RETURN FOR MY TIME?

We will give all volunteers an event shirt and hat. We’ll also provide you with lunch/snack pack the day and make sure that you are fully informed and know what to do with an allocated team leader to supervise you on the day and any equipment needed for your role. And… we guarantee you’ll have a great day!
